Will bras work wonders?

Thousands of women will show off their brassieres Saturday at the Capilano Suspension Bridge with Virgin Radio hosts Kiah Tucker and Tara Jean Stevens as they string bras across the bridge to raise money for breast cancer awareness month.

Every time the bras span the canyon, Virgin and the Capilano Suspension Bridge will donate $ 500 each to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Stevens said this year is set to be record-breaking, with bra donations already exceeding last year’s collection. The goal is to reach $ 10,000.

The Virgin hosts participate in fundraisers throughout the year, but in their third Bras Across the Bridge campaign they said they’ll have fun, as always.

“There is a serious result because we raise money for breast cancer,” said Tucker. “But it’s something we can do in good humour.”
