Woman faces 4 driving charges

The Surrey woman accused of killing a popular young softball coach 11 months ago is now facing four charges including one count of impaired driving causing death.

Natasha Leigh Warren is 34 years old.

Police say she caused the May 3rd crash that killed 22-year-old Kassandra Kaulius.

The victim’s mother Markita is hoping for a conviction, “They say they have quite a bit of evidence. In the scheme of things at the end of this though, it will not make a big difference for us. We’re still without our daughter.”

The Kaulius family is circulating a petition asking the Federal Government to impose minimum mandatory sentences and re-define impaired driving causing death as vehicular manslaughter.

She says more than two thousand people have signed it in the last month.
