Youth worker jailed for abusing boy

A former youth worker has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for abusing a 15 year old boy in December of 2010.

Caitlin Hooper  was 22-years old in 2010 when she abused the 15-year old boy.

She’s been found guilty of sexual touching and invitation to sexual touching.

That happened in October of last year.

She claims she believed the boy was 17 at the time.

She is a recovering addict and she denies she ever had sex with the boy,  who suffers from fetal alcohol disorder.

She will now be listed as a sex offender on the registry for ten years.

The judge says if Hooper goes to jail her son would suffer, so that’s why she has asked her to serve the sentence  on weekends.

She was wiping tears as she heard the sentence.

She must serve three years probation and 250 hours of community service.
