VANCOUVER – Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp. (TSX:YNG) says it has restarted production at its Jerritt Canyon gold mining operation in Nevada following nearly a month of downtime for installation and maintenance.
The Vancouver-based miner said Monday that during the shutdown, which began on Jan. 6, it replaced ore dryer and made changes to its fine crushing operation.
Gold production at the operations resumed on Jan. 25, and the first shipment was made on Jan. 31.
The company estimates production will be an average of 3,300 tons per day and production of 9,000 ounces of gold for February, increasing to 3,900 tons per day with gold production of approximately 12,500 ounces in March.
Yukon-Nevada holds a diverse portfolio of gold, silver, zinc and copper properties in the Yukon Territory and British Columbia in Canada and in Nevada in the United States.
