New Catholic Bishop for Prince George is from Vancouver

The new Catholic Bishop for the Prince George region is a priest from Vancouver. Monsignor Stephen Jensen was appointed today by Pope Benedict. The 58-year old is currently the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Vancouver. He's replacing Bishop Gerald Wiesner who must retire after turning 75 in June. Vancouver’s Roman Catholic community condems assisted-suicide ruling

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver is condemning yesterday’s decision by the B.C. Supreme Court that strikes down laws preventing assisted suicide.
