City of Vancouver credit status lowered by Moody’s following Provincial downgrade

The City of Vancouver says they will continue to borrow money as needed for capital projects, despite a downgrading in their credit rating. Moody's lowered Vancouver from Triple "A" Stable status, to Triple "A" Negative, a day after knocking down the provincial rating. Pivot Legal Society is going to court on behalf of a former homeless man to challenge three Vancouver city bylaws. Burnaby city councillor says residents who use smallest garbage bins should not be charged newly approved fee

A Burnaby city councillor says residents should not have to pay more for their garbage disposal next year. The city's council voted on increasing garbage disposal fees last week. City inside workers ratify new contract

Support workers with the City of Vancouver now have a new four year contract. Members of CUPE local 15 have ratified the agreement which is retroactive to January 1st. City passes Transportation 2040 plan

Vancouver City Council has now approved its Transportation 2040 plan. The plan focuses on having two-thirds of trips around Vancouver made by transit, on bicycle, or on foot, by 2040.
