Vancouver's restaurant community has been rocked by the sudden passing of celebrity chef Anthony Sedlak. The 29-year old was found dead in his North Shore apartment on Friday evening. A 29-year-old man has been killed in a climbing accident on Mount Stephen in Yoho National Park, along the BC/Alberta boundary. The BC Coroners Service has confirmed another worker from the Lakeland Sawmill in Prince George, has died. The workers' identity has not been released. Coroner Barb McClintock says the man was first taken to University Hospital of Northern BC and was later transported by Air Ambulance to Edmonton so he could receive more specialized care. … [Read more...]

75-year old woman dies after being hit in a crosswalk

Vancouver has recorded its third traffic fatality of the year. Police say a 75-year old woman was killed last evening at the intersection of East 41st Avenue and Ross Street after being struck in a marked crosswalk.
