Washington shaken up by small earthquake

A small surface earthquake rattled Washington State just after 12:30 Saturday morning. The US Geological Survey initially said the quake centered 17 kilometers from Thorp, and 145 kilometers away from Seattle was a magnitude of 3.3. They have since revised that to magnitude 1.8. Earthquake east of Sidney felt in Lower Mainland

An earthquake shook the Lower Mainland briefly late last night. The quake happened shortly after 10:30. Marilyn Atchison lives in Vancouver. A new earthquake has hit BC. The National Weather Service says the quake happened at four minutes to 9 Monday evening and had a magnitude of 5.4. It was 64.37 kilometres southwest of Sandspit at a depth of 19.31 kilometres. While some people in Queen Charlotte City felt the tremor there was no danger of a tsunami. Earthquake fears prompt more warnings against closing Kits base
