No avalanche on Grouse Grind

No one was hurt in an incident on the Grouse Grind at around 10:30 this morning, originally believed to be an avalanche.  Ken Juvik with Metro Vancouver says it was actually a tree that fell down across the trail, not an avalanche. Grouse official warns of slippery conditions as popular hiking trail opens

Teens rescued off Grouse Mountain

Four teens who got stranded while hiking on Grouse Mountain have been rescued.  North Shore Search and Rescue say the teens were ill-prepared for the icy conditions on the BCMC trail.
