Man shot by Vancouver Police identified

The BC Coroners Service has released the name of the man shot and killed by RCMP on Monday. 40 year old Gregory John Matters was from Prince George. He'd been involved in a stand off with police. The BC Coroners' Service has confirmed the identity of a toddler and grandmother who drowned in a Surrey swimming pool on Sunday. RCMP call it a "tragic start to the summer." Police are confirming the human head found in a Montreal park belongs to Chinese student Jun Lin. It was the last body part unaccounted for in the investigation into the Concordia University student's murder and dismemberment. Young man found dead on Bowen Island identified

The BC Coroners Service has identified the young man found dead on Bowen Island May 20th. 19 year old Mitchell Gallivan from Vancouver was reported missing in October of 2011. Plane crash victims identified

The BC Coroners Service has now identified all the victims of the small float plane crash north of Peachland. As earlier reported, the pilot was 52 year old Colin Moyes from West Vancouver.
