BC SPCA to leave Island town this weekend

The Campbell River SPCA is leaving the city after more than 30 years. Both Lorie Chortyk with the BC SPCA and the City's Clerk Peter Whipper says it came down to money but they differ on the details. Divers find body in vehicle off Gabriola Island

The search for a body in the water off the Gabriola Island is now over. RCMP Sgt. Response to boat aground in English Bay takes Sea Island Coast Guard over half an hour

Man found dead on Vancouver Island beach identified

An exhaustive post-mortem investigation involving multiple agencies on both sides of the border has found the identity of a man found dead on a Vancouver Island beach December 19th.
