A 23 year old Sidney, BC man is dead following a weekend overdose at a Kootenay music festival. Mitchell Joseph Fleischacker had been attending the Shambhala music festival in Salmo when he collapsed from a drug overdose. He was rushed off to Trail Regional Hospital, but could not be saved. Search for missing toddler in East Kootenay

A frantic search is underway in Sparwood for a missing three year old boy. RCM Corporal Dan Moskaluk says the toddler - Kienan Hebert - was reported missing at nine this morning by his parents from the family home.
