At least 70 people were taken to hospital after a chlorine leak was reported at a sports complex in Williams Lake. "A number of youth that were involved in a swim meet were feeling nauseous and they were actually vomiting.” RCMP Const. A gas leak on the Burnaby-Coquitlam border has prompted several evacuations. North Road, between Foster and Smith, is completely closed down, with homes and businesses in the area being evacuated. 16 bus stops on North Road are currently being missed in both directions.
