Tories take credit for reduction in crime

The number of crimes reported to police is continuing to go down. Statistics Canada says crime reporting is at its lowest level since 1972. Nearly two million incidents were reported last year, about 110-thousand fewer than in 2010. The severity of crime index is also down six percent.
