“Independence Day” 3D Re-Release Scrapped

20th Century Fox appears to have scrapped plans for a 3D re-release of Roland Emmerich’s 1996 sci-fi alien invasion epic "Independence Day." Exhibitor Relations revealed through Twitter that Fox has decided not to release the post-converted film in theatres. The Will Smith-starrer was slated for release on July 3rd 2013.
