Victoria bus drivers favour strike action

Victoria bus drivers have voted 98-per cent in favour of job action, but only if necessary. Contract talks broke down last week. BC Transit (not Translink on the Island) proposed a wage increase of one-per cent over three years. No threat in suspicious package in Victoria

An x-ray has revealed the suspicious package found on a B-C Transit bus in Victoria was a t-shirt and a non-threatening note.  Two streets near the legislature were cordoned off after the package was found Monday.  The RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit was called to Victoria. Pedestrian killed by tour bus in Victoria

A 27 year old Victoria woman is dead after being hit by a tour bus at the intersection of Douglas and Humboldt streets in Victoria this morning. The victim died at the scene. Victoria Police confronted Mitchell in February

The Victoria police department is providing some new information on Angus David Mitchell. Mitchell was the suspect in a double murder in Burnaby.
