Village Roadshow have changed their mind, albeit just slightly, to their decision not to release Joss Whedon’s “Cabin in the Woods” theatrically in Australia.
In a new official posting on their Tumblr blog, they confirm that ‘Cabin’ will be scoring a limited theatrical season in both Sydney and Melbourne starting June 14th.
That’s the good news. The catch? That limited is release is very limited – meaning only one art house cinema in each city, namely Melbourne’s Cinema Nova and Sydney’s Chauvel.
Presently there’s no word as to how long these ‘limited seasons’ will run for (or how many daily sessions there will be). No disc release dates have yet been announced.
