Summer in February
Emily Browning (“Sucker Punch”) has replaced Ophelia Lovibond in Christopher Menual’s period-drama “Summer in February” which begins a seven-week shoot in Cornwall this Sunday.

Dominic Cooper and Dan Stevens also star in the story of a love triangle within a group of UK Bohemian artists at the start of the 20th century. Jonathan Smith adapted from his own novel. [Source: Screen Daily]

Byzantium
Jonny Lee Miller and Tom Hollander are joining Neil Jordan’s currently filming sci-fi thriller “Byzantium”.

Gemma Arterton plays a vampire who has to protect herself and her daughter (Saoirse Ronan) from those seeking to plunge a stake through their hearts. [Source: The Daily Mail]

The Man Who Laughs
Gerard Depardieu, Emmanuelle Seigner and Canadian actor Marc-Andre Grondin have joined the cast of Jean-Pierre Ameris’ period epic “L’homme qui rit” (The Man Who Laughs), an adaptation of the Victor Hugo novel.

The story follows a young man whose mutilated face makes him appear to be constantly laughing. He’s later revealed to be a son of a baron who was kidnapped at the age of two, sold and disfigured, and is now heir to a vast fortune. Shooting will take place in Prague and France starting next week. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter]

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Shirley MacLaine is in negotiations to play the mother of Ben Stiller’s lead character in Fox’s “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty”.

Based on the 1947 Danny Kaye film about a perpetual daydreamer, shooting is slated to kick off in April with Stiller himself directing. [Source: Deadline]
