Magic Mike
“White Collar” star Matt Bomer has joined the cast of Steven Soderbergh’s male stripper project “Magic Mike”. No word on his role as yet but with his body and looks he’ll likely be getting his kit off.
Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer and Matthew McConaughey are already cast in the project based on Tatum’s experiences as a male stripper back in the late 90’s. [Source: Deadline]
One Shot
Rosamund Pike is officially negotiating for the female lead opposite Tom Cruise in “One Shot” at Paramount Pictures.
The Christopher McQuarrie-directed adaptation of the Lee Child novel series has Cruise playing Jack Reacher, the retired military policeman who investigates a case in which a lone sniper murders five victims before being captured.
Pike will play Helen Rodin, a local defense attorney defending the man arrested for the shootings. [Source: Deadline]
The Story of Luke
Seth Green and Lou Taylor Pucci are toplining Alonso Mayo’s indie drama “The Story of Luke” at Fluid Film and DViant Films which begins shooting this month in Ontario.
Pucci plays an autistic man searching for a job and a girlfriend, while Green mentors him in his quest for both. Cary Elwes and Kristin Bauer co-star. [Source: Variety]
Neighborhood Watch
The now slimmed down Jonah Hill is in talks to star in Akiva Schaffer’s ensemble comedy “Neighborhood Watch” at 20th Century Fox.
Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn star as bored suburban watch group dads who wind up uncovering an alien-invasion plot. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg penned the script. [Source: Vulture]
