Drake Doremus’ Next
Guy Pearce, Amy Ryan and Felicity Jones are set to join the cast of Drake Doremus’s new untitled feature which begins shooting in upstate New York next month.
Indian Paintbrush will produce the film which is “about love, fidelity, marriage and music”. Doremus directed this year’s Sundance sensation “Like Crazy”. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter]
Greetings From Tim Buckley
Imogen Poots (“28 Weeks Later,” “Fright Night”) will play the female lead opposite Penn Badgley in Dan Algrant’s “Greetings From Tim Buckley” which begins shooting next month.
The film follows the true story of the days leading up to Jeff Buckley’s 1991 performance at a tribute concert for his father. Poots plays a young woman who meets Jeff while working at the concert and they embark on a four-day journey that changes both their lives. [Source: Deadline]
Frank or Francis
Jack Black and Nicolas Cage are attached while Steve Carell is in talks for Charlie Kaufman’s next directorial effort “Frank Or Francis”.
Shooting will kick off sometime next year, while plot details are being kept top secret. Kaufman previously helmed “Synecdoche, New York” and wrote both “Being John Malkovich” and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. [Source: Deadline]
