Casting: Olmos, Jones, Rudolph, Letscher

Edward James Olmos is in negotiations to play the villain in Baltasar Kormakur’s “Two Guns” at Universal Pictures and Emmett/Furla Films.

Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington star as a Navy SEAL and a DEA agent, respectively, who work together despite not knowing that the each is doing so undercover. Olmos is in talks to play Papi Greco, a dangerous Mexican druglord who runs up against them. [Source: Variety]

Broken Dream
Caleb Landry Jones (“X-Men: First Class”) has been cast in the lead role in the John Boorman-directed “Broken Dream”. The story is described as a love story that takes place in a futuristic world.

Boorman co-wrote the script with Neil Jordan years ago, in fact River Phoenix was originally slated to star in the project nearly 20 years ago until River’s untimely death. [Source: Deadline]

The Way, Way Back
Maya Rudolph, Rob Corddry and Amanda Peet have been added to the cast of “The Descendants” scribes Nat Faxon and Jim Rash’s comedic drama “The Way, Way Back” which starts filming Monday in Massachusetts.

The story deals with a teenager (Liam James) who comes into his own during the summer through an unlikely friendship with a local water-park manager (Sam Rockwell). Toni Collette and Steve Carell co-star as the boy’s mother and her carousing boyfriend. [Source: Deadline]

Devil’s Knot
Bruce Greenwood and Michael Gladis have joined the cast of Atom Egoyan’s “The Devil’s Knot” about the infamous Memphis Three murder case.

Greenwood will play Judge David Burnett, who presided over the trial in a manner that was later criticized as being biased. Gladis will play Dan Stidham, the defense attorney for suspect Jessie Misskelley Jr. (Christopher Higgins). [Source: THR]
