“The Vow” helmer Michael Sucsy is attached to helm a biopic about a cappella group Straight No Chaser for Dreamworks Pictures and Anonymous Content.
The group was formed in 1996 and consists of ten Indiana University students. The group played venues such as Wrigley Field and Carnegie Hall, but the members disbanded three years later.
Years later, in 2006, a video of a 1998 performance was uploaded to YouTube and went viral. The group not only got back together, but quickly signed a five-album deal.
Jack Amiel and Michael Begler will pen the script, while Michael Sugar, Craig Kallman and Bard Dorros are producing.
