Elle Fanning is set to star in an $ 11 million film adaptation of Kevin Henkes’ young adult novel “Olive’s Ocean” says Deadline.
Fanning plays a teen who goes on a summer of soul searching after discovering that a classmate who recently died in a tragic accident had secretly hoped to become her friend.
Christina Hammonds Reed is adapting the script while Donald Rosenfeld, Andreas Roald and Celestia Fox will produce.
