Espinosa To Helm Grisham’s “Racketeer”

Daniel Espinosa (“Safe House,” “Easy Money”) is developing an adaptation of John Grisham’s latest novel “The Racketeer” as a directing vehicle for Double Feature, Fox 2000 and New Regency.

The story begins with the murder of a federal judge at a lakeside cabin and the contents of his safe being emptied.

The only man who knows the whos and whys is a former attorney serving time in federal prison who hopes to parlay that into getting revenge on the people who put him there.

A search for a writer is currently underway. Espinosa is next set to direct Soviet-era Russia feature “Child 44” starring Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace.
