The “Iron Man 3” promo roll continues this morning as Marvel has published the first one-sheet, while EW has premiered the first photo of Ben Kingsley as the film’s antagonist – the international terrorist ‘The Mandarin’.
Though in the comics he was a Chinese exile who used ten rings made of alien tech, this version is more grounded and will not follow that same backstory. They’re also blurring his background, Marvel’s Kevin Feige telling EW that “It’s less about his specific ethnicity than the symbolism of various cultures and iconography that he perverts for his own end.”
