Ford In Talks For “Blade Runner” Sequel?

Six months ago came news that Ridley Scott was committing to both direct and produce a new installment of “Blade Runner” for Alcon Entertainment.

The general word was that this wasn’t a sequel but rather a completely different story albeit set in the same style universe, much like the way Scott’s upcoming “Prometheus” ties in with “Alien”. Of course with that film, the more we see of it the more it appears to be a prequel.

Now, Twitchfilm has heard an interesting rumor – “Harrison Ford has entered into early talks to join the new Blade Runner… this is still very early stages and it is quite possible that things won’t work out.”

Ford of course played Deckard, the lead character in Scott’s 1982 original classic. Though he could be playing an entirely different character, Twitch says “the obvious implication is that what we are looking at is not a reboot but a direct sequel to the original.” Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove will produce.
