Joe and Anthony Russo have reportedly entered negotiations to direct the upcoming sequel to “Captain America: The First Avenger” at Marvel Studios reports THR.
Though they helmed 2007’s Owen Wilson comedy “You, Me and Dupree”, the Russo brothers are better known for their TV work on the sitcoms “Community” and “Happy Endings”.
The Russos beat out George Nolfi (“The Adjustment Bureau”) and F. Gary Gray (“The Italian Job”) for the gig, taking over from Joe Johnston who helmed the first film.
“Captain America 2” is scheduled to be released on April 4th 2014.
