The makers of “3D Sex & Zen: Extreme Ecstasy” don’t want you to just come TO the cinema any more.
Stephen Shiu, the producer behind the 2011 Hong Kong 3-D erotic costume drama theatrical feature, tells Daily Chilli (via The Hollywood Reporter) that a sequel is in the works and plans to top the previous film. How? By going 4D.
Vibrating seat technology will be incorporated into Hong Kong theaters for the film’s sequel “4D Sex and Zen: Slayer of a Thousand from the Mysterious East”.
Seats will no doubt be set to tingle during some of the more sensuous scenes, hopefully an army of dry cleaners will also be on standby at all times.
The previous film, a darker toned remake of the classic 1991 2D erotic comedy, scored an opening day take of HK$ 2.79 million on the island, taking the previous box office record from “Avatar”.
