Kelly Asbury (“Gnomeo and Juliet”) will pen a CG-animated adaptation of “Pooch Café” for Sony Pictures Animation says Heat Vision.
Based on Paul Gilligan’s acclaimed syndicated comic strip, the story follows Poncho, a cheese-loving, squirrel-fearing, toilet-drinking mutt who joins his canine friends at the Pooch Café, a neighborhood hangout where dogs can be dogs.
There they discuss important issues of zebra-flavored kibble and constructing a giant catapult to hurl cats into the sun.
