Scott Steindorff (“The Lincoln Lawyer”) and his Scott Pictures label have scored the film rights to Jessica Khoury’s upcoming young adult novel “Origin” says Heat Vision.
The story follows Pia, a young woman created to be immortal by a scientist somewhere in the Amazon jungle.
On her 17th birthday, she escapes her compound, meets a village boy and goes on an adventure to find the truth of her origin.
Steindorff and Dylan Russell will produce the adaptation.
