TV News: Ab Fab, Sherlock, Dead, FX

Absolutely Fabulous
As previously reported the entire cast is back for three new special episodes of classic British sitcom “Absolutely Fabulous”, two of which will screen during the Christmas and New Year holiday and one closer to the Olympics next year.

This week The BBC have released the first new cast image, the first clip, and storyline details for the two Christmas episodes. The first has a character arriving after some time away with a scary new best friend and some identity questions.

The second has Eddy taking on a new French film star client whom could bring her new-found respect from Saffy, trouble is the client’s true talents aren’t exactly what they seem.

Sherlock
The first of the three TV movies that comprise the second season will screen for UK press and BFI Members next Wednesday. It’s expected that the BBC will broadcast all three telefilms sometime in January and February ahead of the DVD & Blu-ray release in the UK on March 5th.

In the United States, PBS Masterpiece has scheduled the second season to air throughout May. [Source: Sherlockology]

The show itself has undergone criticism for a lack of action in this first half of the second season, though the viewership drop-off has been relatively small. [Source: The HD Room]
