Winkler Films has optioned the film rights to J. I. Baker’s paranoid thriller novel “The Empty Glass” reports Deadline.
Baker is adapting the script which follows a young coroner who is among the first on the scene at Marilyn Monroe’s bungalow when the actress is reported dead.
His quest for the truth about her death puts his own life at risk. The film will blend historical events with infamous conspiracy theories.
Irwin Winkler and David Winkler are producing.
