Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is still a few months away from production, but casting rumors have continued following reports last week of five actresses vying to play Steve Rogers’ love interest.
Now, Latino Review reports that “Scott Pilgrim” actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead apparently “has the most traction” with Marvel for the role.
The part is said to be that of Sharon Carter, niece of Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) in the first film. They also say that the five actresses previously mentioned – Emilia Clarke, Jessica Brown-Findlay, Teresa Palmer, Imogen Poots and Alison Brie – remain in the mix.
The site adds that the likes of Josh Holloway, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Kevin Durand will apparently be screen testing for two very physical male roles in the project.
