The Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and King John make up the 2012 season playbill for the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare festival.
The line up was announced Sunday along with the attendance at this summer’s festival which ended up at 84,000, an increase of 5,000 over 2010.
Artistic Director Christopher Gaze said the increased attendance was possible thanks to their new 740-seat mainstage theatre tent.
Tickets for next year’s festival will go on sale in March 2012.
