7 year old girl found unconscious in Langley townhome, is recovering

RCMP in Langley say a 7 year old girl who was found unconscious in a townhouse last night, has regained consciousness, but is being kept in hospital so doctors can keep an eye on her condition.

Sgt. Don Davidson says mounties are still trying to piece together what happened.

There are reports an overdose of GHB–the date-rape drug–caused her to become unconscious.

Davidson says police can’t confirm that.

“No, and that’s a difficult call to make because I mean, that could have been something that somebody said but whether or not it’s actually true, we don’t know.  So, it’s somethat that–I’m sure they’re running tests on her and they’ll find out what exactly happened.”

Davidson says police arrived at the townhome in the area of the 5500 block of 209th Street between 9 and 9:30 last night.
