A caution from the Better Business Bureau serving the BC mainland about online group deals.
The organization has seen a spike in complaints over the past year about companies offering services and wares on daily deal websites, “We have two specific companies that we have reported on just recently. One is cooldroids.com of West Vancouver and Cosique Beauty Company of Vancouver. Both of them have had daily deals on websites like teambuy.ca or dealfind.com.”
CEO and President Danielle Primrose says customers have reported not getting any response from companies or never getting their orders.
Primrose says the businesses may have underestimated how popular the online deals are. She suggests customers check out the fine print, the refund policy and whether the company is licensed prior to buying a group deal.
