Cadieux admits CLBC controversy has done damage

With details emerging that Community Living BC executives will still receive bonuses despite a government promise to the contrary, the minister responsible admits this latest twist doesn’t make the government look all that great.
Social development minister Stephanie Cadieux admits the Community Living BC salary saga has been a blow to the government’s credibility.

“I would say yes, it probably has, and that’s a very difficult circumstance. The reality is there were big challenges.”

Executives at CLBC will receive bonuses for the fiscal year ended March 31st, 2012 by the end of July, and under the new system will essentially receive what would have been their after-bonus pay as a guaranteed salary with a slight reduction.
