Colony Farm undergoing procedural reviews

A pair of procedural reviews are underway at Port Coquitlam’s Forensic Psychiatric Hospital after two recent cases of patients leaving on day-passes, never to return.

Dr. Johann Brink, the hospital’s Director of Clinical Services, says the first review will be an internal one, dealing particularly with the two missing men.

The second, will be done by an outside agency, “We will ask them to review our policies and our procedures and protocols and compare them against those of other forensic organizations both nationally and internationally.”

Warrants remain up for both David Fomradas and Gregory Schleen.

Unescorted day trips for all patients have been suspended as the reviews take place.
