A notable politician from the past wants back in the game, this time at the federal level.
Elizabeth Cull is stepping forward to run in a federal byelection in Victoria.
She’s challenging lawyer Murray Rankin for the NDP nomination in the riding, which was left vacant when New Democrat MP Denise Savoie resigned for health reasons.
Cull served as finance minister and deputy premier in the Mike Harcourt government before being defeated in the 1996 election.
