Deputy Premier says rift rumour much ado about nothing

There is nothing to see here as the Deputy Premier plays down any rumour of a rift with a fellow BC Liberal MLA.

Surrey White Rock MLA Gordon Hogg had criticized Rich Coleman in the Peace Arch News for calling Surrey councillors during the casino process.

Hogg also denied he had apologized to Coleman after also being at odds over smart meters.

But Rich Coleman says he and Hogg have no problems.

“Actually Gordie and I talked on Saturday at length and we are fine the question was one article was written about what he had apologized about and he apologized to me with regards to a letter that went out from his office that caused some confusion the article wasn’t corrected the way he had, according to Gordie, how he had spoken to one news source. We have no problems at all we have been together a long time.”

Coleman says the two have been and continue to be close friends.
