An Abbotsford man is dead after a rollover collision on Vye Road near Sumas Way.
Police got a call shortly before 3:00 a.m., arriving to find a man dead in the back seat of a flipped Chevy Malibu, with a man and a woman with minor injuries in the front seat.
One woman was found outside the vehicle with serious injuries, and has been airlifted to hospital.
Constable Ian MacDonald says this didn’t need to happen.
“We’re dealing with a tragedy, and I would suggest an avoidable tragedy in that if we’re looking at speed and alcohol as contributing factors, we’ve got a loss of life that didn’t need to happen.”
No names have been released, but police say all four passengers were Abbotsford residents in their 20s
