Translink continues to install fare gates and card readers along the skytrain system.
Starting Monday, crews will start installing the devices on the Millennium Line.
Spokesman Drew Snider says there will be plenty of signs, barriers and boards up at stations.
“it’s starting at Lougheed Town Centre on Monday. Just as they’ve been doing on the Expo Line and on the Canada Line, the Millennium Line stations will be getting them installed over the next several months now.”
The gates and card readers are part of the new smart card system coming to Translink in just over a year from now — designed to cut down on fare evasion and better track commuting patterns.
