Four cats mutilated in Metro Vancouver

MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. – Someone is killing and mutilating cats in the Maple Ridge area east of Vancouver and police are urging residents to keep a close eye on their pets.

Ridge Meadows RCMP say four cats have been killed between mid-August and September 14th.

Three of the attacks were reported this week.

The remains of the animals were found within a two-kilometre radius of the suburban community.

In each case, the cat’s head was severed and dumped on the lawn of a home.

No suspects have been identified but police say the incidents appear to be linked.
