Tracking website www.GasBuddy.com pegs the average price for regular fuel in Metro Vancouver at $ 1.49 per litre… a full 22 cents higher than the national average.
If it’s premium fuel you’re after, be prepared to pay $ 1.78 per litre — that’s what it’s going for at the Shell station on Westminster Highway at Gilley in Richmond.
Savings can be found, but you’ll need to drive east… several stations in Langley and Aldergrove have prices below $ 1.40 per litre.
