I-I-O has a new case on it’s hands

There’s been a shooting in Vancouver outside a MacDonalds on Hastings near Cassiar, but details are sketchy.

Vancouver Police aren’t saying anything about the shooting, only that the Independent Investigations Office has been called in.

Director Gene Krecsy says, “We’re still sorting out the facts and have no information.”

What we do know right now is that the shooting involved a man with a knife called in at 10 to 9 Monday night. He was found on the sidewalk adjacent to a bus stop.

He was taken to hospital but died shortly thereafter.

Further information is expected from I-I-O later Tuesday.
