Langley Secondary locked down after gun threat

Langley Secondary School is under police lockdown after an anonymous tip
about a firearm was called into Langley RCMP.

Police are conducting a search and urge parents not to go to the school.
Instead, victim services and a school board representative will be at Twin
Rinks (56 Avenue and Langley Bypass) at noon to answer questions.

“There have been no reports of shots fired, or any injuries,” said RCMP Cpl.
Holly Marks in a statement. “Additionally we are not aware of any direct
threat to a student or a staff member.”

All available RCMP officers in Langley are dealing with the incident and the
integrated police dog team is aiding in the search.
