Man who attacked bus driver apologizes

An apology from a man who assaulted a Coast Mountain Bus driver last year.

An apology…….but no sentence yet in the case of Del Louie.

He punched 55 year old driver Charles Dickson in the face last year in Burnaby, leaving him with brain damage.

In court, Louie said he was sorry, and that he understood the vulnerable position drivers are in.

Defence then had to finish its submissions, and the judge pushed back the date for sentencing.

The defence says Louie’s fetal alcohol syndrome and aboriginal ancestry need to be considered in sentencing, while Dickson says his attacker should spend at least a year behind bars.
