The announcement over a facelift to St. Paul’s Hospital hasn’t been made yet and the NDP are already calling it a dud.
Vancouver-West End MLA Spencer Chandra-Herbert says people have heard it all before, “Premier and the Liberals announcement on St. Paul’s is going to be an announcement of an announcement. There is no dollars attached and in fact, it is a step back from what Vancouverites were promised for St. Paul’s when in 2010, Kevin Falcon promised we would have a business case ready to go. So, we could be redeveloping St. Paul’s by now.”
Chandra-Herbert says if the plan includes a new out-patient tower on one corner of the property, that too, was tabled back in 2010.
Health Minister Mike de Jong says he and the Premier will be at St. Paul’s for an announcement Wednesday.
