NDP says it would end partisan advertising

The NDP say the government is wasting your money promoting the BC Liberals, and he has a plan to bring the practise to an end.

NDP leader Adrian Dix says he will propose legislation that would ensure money spent on government advertising benefits the taxpayer.

The rules would also ban all non-essential advertising four months before an election and give the Auditor General the sole power to review and approve all ads.

“They would satisfy and demonstrate our seriousness in banning partisan advertising with public funds and show a major difference between the way the NDP will spend public funds and the way the Liberal party is spending government funds

Dix says the liberals have been using public money to run their election campaign.
