Politicians to gather in honour of Surrey’s tallest building

Surrey has a new tallest building…

It’s the 36-storey, 40-floor “Ultra” residential tower.

Mayor Dianne Watts will officially mark the occasion at a ceremony Saturday, where she’ll place a “concrete crown” at the building’s highest point.

Bob Dominick with the Weststone Group says it’s part of the company’s larger plan.

“We’re building a masterplan community in Surrey City Centre which will eventually comprise of about 2,500 homes… so we have another five highrise towers to complete.”

Watts will be joined by other MLAs and municipal politicians.
